PG North Defense should carry North Hills This Season
Buttenfield uses his vast experience as a pitcher to coach the North Hills High School coach. The knowledge he gained throughout his career gives him the ability to measure up his team in advance and pinpoint each player’s strengths and weaknesses.
"I think we'll be strong defensively this year," said Buttenfield, who was an assistant coach for four seasons before assuming his current role. "I think that will help us get the extra wins we need to make the playoffs. We missed [the playoffs] last year by one game. With our defense, we could use a different lineup every day, and I would be confident with what we'd put out there."
